THE BRIEF

Using Surrey’s 'EXPECT MORE’ campaign guidelines we were asked to create several pieces of collateral that would have immediate impact and standout against the competition. 

The scope of work encompassed:

  • Recruitment Fair Stand Artwork (including production management)
  • 12 A5 double-sided postcard mailers
  • Undergraduate Prospectus

STRATEGY

Tasked with encapsulating Surrey’s impressive offerings in a single image, we embraced a dynamic approach, leveraging the reflection design trend. This created huge visual impact and a solution that was unique and ownable to Surrey. 

This distinctive visual not only turned heads at UCAS and career fairs but also provided a flexible template to use for subject-specific postcards, encouraging applications. Our design incorporated key aspects of chosen courses but delivered in a fresh and dynamic way that would demand engagement.

For the prospectus, we opted for a slightly different minimal design, featuring Surrey’s Stag icon in bold, contrasting colours, ensuring ownability as well as eye-catching uniqueness amidst competitors' busy covers.

RESULTS

4,020 unique registrants were contacted across the UK.

London (6.05% proportion applied) and the South East, (9.89% proportion applied) were the strongest performing regions.
